About Maasai Mara National Reserve
The Maasai Mara is Kenya's flagship reserve — 1,510 km² of rolling savannah teeming with lion, leopard, cheetah, elephant and buffalo. Between July and October, over 1.5 million wildebeest thunder across the Mara River in the Great Migration, one of the natural world's greatest spectacles. Beyond the game drives, the Mara is home to the Maasai people, whose villages welcome visitors for authentic cultural encounters.
