Ringed by acacia forest and rocky escarpments, Lake Nakuru is a Rift Valley soda lake famous for shimmering pink shoals of flamingos and one of Kenya's most important rhino sanctuaries. Both black and white rhino thrive here, along with Rothschild's giraffe, tree-climbing lions and over 450 bird species. Baboon Cliff offers one of the finest picnic viewpoints in the Rift.
