Begin in Kenya with the Maasai Mara and Kilimanjaro-backed Amboseli, cross at Namanga into Tanzania, then take on the endless plains of the Serengeti before descending into the Ngorongoro Crater — the largest intact caldera on Earth and a Big Five stronghold. Day-by-Day Itinerary
1Nairobi to the Maasai Mara
Depart Nairobi for the Mara via the Rift Valley viewpoint, with an afternoon game drive on arrival.
2Full Day — Maasai Mara
Dawn-to-dusk game drives with picnic lunch, tracking the Mara's big cats and (in season) the migration herds.
3Mara Morning — Return towards Nairobi
Final Mara game drive, then reposition towards Nairobi for the night, ready for the southern leg.
4Nairobi to Amboseli
Drive south to Amboseli beneath Kilimanjaro for an afternoon game drive among the great tuskers.
5Amboseli — Cross to Tanzania (Arusha)
Sunrise Kilimanjaro photography drive, then cross the Namanga border and continue to Arusha for overnight.
6Arusha to the Serengeti
Drive through the highlands and Ngorongoro Conservation Area, descending into the endless Serengeti plains with a game drive en route to camp.
7Full Day — Serengeti
A full day exploring the Seronera Valley's year-round predator concentrations — lion, leopard and cheetah country.
8Serengeti to Ngorongoro Rim
Morning Serengeti drive, then ascend to the Ngorongoro crater rim, overnighting with views into the caldera.
9Ngorongoro Crater Tour
Descend 600 m into the crater for a half-day tour of one of Earth's most wildlife-dense places — a strong chance of black rhino completing your Big Five.
10Return to Arusha / Nairobi
Drive back to Arusha for lunch, then shuttle or flight connection to Nairobi where the safari ends.
